The Artist Zander

I am a visual multi-media artist who incorporates literary works, futuristic landscapes, dream imagery and symbolism in my work. My aim is to create decorations with messages of hope to give back color to the people who color my life. I am a gypsy, an insatiable explorer whose work vibrates with every person, idea, frustration and challenge. Art is a luxury. It provokes the sub-conscience, asks questions, defies convention and stirs the senses in ways other luxuries cannot. I dedicate my craft to all generations, those who created before me and those that will outlive me and impact the future by launching this world into an apocalypse of inventions and revolution.

I was recently in New York City for Fashion week. I was invited to Body Paint at the Nexus Townhouse for the party/fashion show and afterparty with Brad Baker, who flew in from Berlin, Germany.

Upon my arrival I met up with model Tessa Shimizu and we planned the set as best as we could. We talked, walking through the streets of NYC, and then showed up to the Nexus Townhouse.

We captivated each other and the audience. I was joined by Shell Weinz who is an accesory designer in NY. She filmed the entire exhibition, for the most part, and later on she took me out, showing me around.

After a night of dancing, drinking, and perusing we went back home where I met her roommmate Jason Patrick Voegele, founder and director of I entered and immedietly saw and recognized Olek’s Artwork.

If you are not familiar with her work, allow me to enlighten you.

I had the privilege to work with Tessa Shimizu.

Later on Shell & I accidently stumbled upon the BMW & Guggenheim installation outside on our way to a party with a Jacuzzi and BBQ.

I met Andrea Amoretti of and an independant film maker from Moscow, comic artists, and a few russian ladies who adored my work.

A couple days later, I met up with Tessa again, and we did an X Installation/photo shoot in Central Park.

Afterwards I met with Tchera Niyego for a meet up/catchup in Bryant Park discussing my latest work, which has been primarily street art, and X Installations, and of course, working with the youtube sensation Karen Alloy (Spricket24) :)

After lunch with her I prepared to say goodbye to NYC, but it will not be the last time I see her. I arrived to the airport and sat next to a booking agent for modeling agencies internationally.

Upon landing in Minneapolis, I felt a sense of calm and restlessness for X Fashion, coming soon to the Lounge.
